Volunteer to educate your community and help your neighbors figure out how to identify and remove invasives. No experience needed! It's easy, and it's the main way we will get the word out to everyone in Fairfax/Falls Church. All you have to do is relay information (which we will provide) by any means that works for you: email, community newsletters, Facebook groups, NextDoor.com, door-to-door, etc.
For those who are interested, we will connect Community Representatives together to help to coordinate invasive removal efforts in their local area.
To support you, we will provide the following:
- Ideas for doing outreach to your neighbors
- Networking opportunities with other community reps and invasive experts
- Expertise on invasives
- Planning assistance for community events
- Presentations and links to resources about invasives and invasive management
- Training to run an invasive removal project, if requested
To volunteer for your neighborhood, please fill out this volunteer interest form.

Area Representatives
Area Representatives help the Community Representatives collaborate with each other. They work with the Community Representatives as a team to strategize about how to reach and assist all the area’s landowners wherever invasive plants are problematic.
